Arguably the best female singer/songwriter in the Contemporary Christian music industry is Nichole Nordeman. There is so much of her work that I like, but this song, sandwiched in the middle of her recent album Brave, hit me like a ton of bricks. I had to pull over to the side of the road when I heard it and I’ve performed it in many different worship contexts where the response to it has been profound. She is also an artist trying to balance children and her work and her motives for her work are very pure. I look forward to her next release.
